Special recognition is given to milestone reunion classes (graduation years ending in 1 or 6) and the Grand Class — our alumni from 1976 and earlier.

Strickland and Butterworth Awards
In keeping with KCU tradition, alumni celebrating their reunion year come together in a friendly competition to support scholarships for students just beginning their journey.
During the Class Reunion Dinner, the Strickland Award will be given to the class who raises the largest combined gift in 2026 and the Butterworth Award will be given to the class with the highest percentage of donors.
Every gift counts. Join your peers in the challenge and help lead your class to victory.

Explore KCU’s beautiful Farber-McIntire campus, including the College of Dental Medicine — one of the most technologically advanced dental education facilities in the region. Enjoy a guided campus tour and see how simulation and virtual training help students build the competence and confidence needed for real-world patient care.
The day includes lunch with fellow alumni and time to connect with faculty and students.
Travel is by chartered bus, departing the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at 7:30 a.m. and returning at approximately 4:00 p.m. The trip is 2.5 hours each way.

Return to the Kansas City campus for an interactive day with fellow alumni, faculty and students, including breakfast lunch and Grand Rounds. This rare campus opportunity showcases the foundational medical education and the hands-on learning that defines the KCU experience.
KCU Grand Rounds include:
- Simulation Lab: Guided by student members of the KCU Simulation Club, work through realistic clinical scenarios using responsive, high-fidelity mannequins in mock exam and ICU settings.
- Anatomy Lab: Revisit the university’s “silent teachers” with guidance from KCU Clinical Anatomy Fellows and a more experienced perspective.
- OMM Loft: Explore hands-on, case-based learning in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine with KCU OMM Fellows.
- KCU Library Archives: Discover the University’s history through a guided look at artifacts, photographs and early teaching materials from the D’Angelo Library Archives.

Whether you're looking to stay current, expand your clinical perspective, or engage with emerging trends, these learning opportunities are designed to deliver meaningful, practice-ready insights.
KCU will provide up to 5 hours of in-person content during Alumni Weekend and 15 hours of pre-recorded content for a total of 20 hours of AOA CE to registered alumni. The in-person presentations will be recorded and available on-demand.
All content will be available September 17-December 4, 2026 on the KCU CE platform.
CE Accreditation & Credit
AOA: The CME activities are planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) through the joint providership of MAOPS and Kansas City University (KCU). MAOPS is accredited by the AOA to provide osteopathic CME. The CME sessions are designated for a max of 20 AOA Category 1-A credits.
